PRIVATE HEATED INDOOR POOL only minutes from our dive centre

important note

The sport of scuba diving is very safe especially when all safety rules presented in your course are followed. As is the case with any activity, there is always a risk of injury or death when participating in scuba related activities even when all of the safety rules have been followed. Modern scuba equipment is very safe and reliable and rarely fails especially when used and maintained as specified by the manufacturer. While scuba diving related emergencies are uncommon, Simcoe Diving recommends that all divers purchase DAN (Divers Alert Network) insurance in the unlikely event that you experience a diving emergency. DAN is the leading medical authority in the sport of scuba diving and their flexible insurance plans offer affordable coverage/protection in the event of a diving related injury or accident.

Please note that learning to scuba dive involves voluntarily answering questions regarding your medical history and health. While many medical conditions do not exclude people from learning to scuba dive, some conditions may require an assessment from a physican. Please review and print off the medical statement prior to any training with us.Should you answer "yes" to any of the medical questions, approval from a physican to participate in scuba diving activities will be required. Some medical conditions may require an assessment by an approved hyperbaric (diving) physican. Please contact us should you have any questions regarding your medical situation. All medical statements are strictly private and confidential and are not shared with any third parties unless authorized. The medical statement form must be completed and submitted to us prior to any in-water training. By not disclosing an accurate medical statement, your safety while participating in scuba diving activities may be at risk. It is the candidates responsibility to fill out the medical statement accurately and update us with any changes that occur prior to or during any scuba related training.

For those aged 10-14, certifications will be issued as "Junior" divers and may include some restrictions such as diving with certified parents/PADI professionals and/or depth limits. Time limits to complete courses are estimates and based on averages. Times may vary due to the number of students, equipment problems, weather etc. Please allow ample time during courses to account for time variations.
